Advantages: its from newborn and holds baby in a natural newborn position

Disadvantages: shoulder ache!!

when i first saw the premaxx slings i just knew i had to have one! unlike most other baby carries that i knew of you carry the baby sideways in a natural comfortable newborn position.

i think £39.99 (i think however they have just lowered in price) was a little on the expensive side and decided to buy one seccond hand.
There is a wide choice of colours to chose from, brighter colours or more neutral.

A few weeks later (my baby was by this time nearly 3 months old) i had my premaxx sling!
The first time i used it i attually found i quite uncomfortable, in the newborn/small baby position it sits side ways across tummy kind of level and you have to turn the shoulder strap over which is the bit i found so uncomfortable- and 30 minutes later i had to take it off to rest my hurting shoulder.
i put it down to maybe having the sling in the wrong position but everytime i used it again i was having the same trouble, id be forever stopping and re tightening and moving the baby a bit more up - then down trying to make her at least look comortable, id find that her arm nearest to me was not happy sitting being squashed even in the position that the sling puts them in.

Also after attempting to use various times my daughter was growing and it was starting to get really heavy! so by the time she was 4.5 months old i decided to sell it on while it was still worth £25 seccond hand price!
needless to say i got my money back quickly as they were in high demand.

its sad to say that i didnt get on with this, i really like the idea and would have loved to have used it often.
im not sure wether its the design of the carrier or the fact that im short in the body, but i get on so much better with the sit up ones.

Summary: a really good idea but im gutted i didnt get on with it
