When you first find out you're having a baby you suddenly decide you need at least one of everything. If you have read any of my previous reviews, you will understand how much Winnie The Pooh stuff was purchased for my daughter so I was more than thrilled when I came across this baby carrier with a very cute Winnie The Pooh design. It was a baby must have for me. Dark blue in colour, the baby carrier has all the Winnie The Pooh friends in vivid colour on the front. It has quite thin straps all of which are the same dark blue. It is only available in blue. When I got it out of the box, I found that it could be used so that your baby can be either in the sitting upright position or the laying down position. I do not like the laying down position. I don't think it looks secure - that is just my opinion. I am sure alot of the time it is very secure but I had this vision in my head of her falling out of it one side or something like that! And it put me off of using that position so before my daughter was even born, the upright position was decided upon. Once my daughter was born, after a couple of weeks we decided we would try her out in this carrier - after all, it would save us having to constantly take the buggy out (which was huge and at the time we lived in an upstairs flat with no lift). My daughter had an absolute screaming fit once we put her in it. She just didn't look or feel secure. She lasted about 10 minutes in it. The straps are not very wide and the weight of my daughter made the straps cut deep into my shoulders and it hurt alot! Once she was in it, she didn't really look greatly supported. She fitted in it fine but it appeared to be a piece of cardboard down the front and back which was her support. It looked very uncomfortable for her. There is definately a lack of padding in this product to make it comfortable for your baby. I don't think it is overly well made. My daughter weighed just under 8 and a half pounds two weeks after she was born and once she was in it, it felt very flimsy and she could wriggle much too easily. It never seemed that secure when she was in it. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this product.

I got this sling in a package deal along with the Winnie the Pooh Changing Bag via a magazine. On reading articles about this sling I first thought it looked marvellous as it claims you can carry your baby either sitting upright facing you or lying down across your front. I'm afraid I haven't been terribly impressed with anything about this sling - the straps are flimsy and cut into my shoulders very badly - it is quite easy to get baby into the sling but then not so easy to get the sling onto you! - There is (what feels like) cardboard that supports your baby's back in the lying down position, however it only comes down as far as the bottom of his back so therefore his bum hangs down even lower. I thought this must be extremely bad for his back so never used it in that position again. My son is a large baby so I wondered whether my problems were partly due to this. It may be perfectly decent for a small baby. It claims to take up to 29lbs but I'm sure my shoulders couldn't take the strain so I've never used it since.
