Next Monkey Dungarees And Bodysuit Set
by k2705
Now that the weather is starting to warm up me and my husband decided it was time to buy Jayden a new summer wardrobe as he had out grown out of most if his clothes from last year.
One item he received from my parents was the Next Monkey Dungaree and Bodysuit Set. This was actually an item we had seen when shopping in Next ... but they hadn't got it in his size so they ordered it online.
The Next Monkey Dungaree and Bodysuit Set consists of two parts, there is the bodysuit which is basically a light blue cotton vest style t shirt.
This bodysuit has a rounded neck and short sleeves, it fastens between your baby's legs using 3 pale blue poppers ideal for quick and easy changes.
The vest is just plain and could be used with several outfits, however it does compliment the dungarees perfectly.
The dungarees are the main part of this outfit, they are short style dungarees with the bottoms of the legs being slightly elasticated, they are made from a dark blue and white fabric, the very thin stripes are extremely close together giving a sort of distressed appearance, the stitching is all dark blue which both compliments and contrasts the fabric in just the Right way.
The outside of the dungarees are made from 100% cotton and are fully lined with a blue fabric which is 55% linen and 45% cotton, the fabric despite the lining is not overly think and will keep your child cool in warmer weather.
The dungarees fasten over your child's shoulders with straps about an inch wide, the fasten with a dark blue button, there are actually 2 buttons allowing your to alter the length of the straps should you need to.
Other fastenings on the dungarees include 2 dark blue buttons on either side allowing them to be opened out wide making it easier to dress your child, the dungarees also have dark blue poppers going around the inside of both legs, again making it quick and easy for nappy changes.
The main feature of the Monkey Dungarees and Bodysuit Set is the large monkey head on the front of the dungarees, this is in the same blue and white fabric as the dungarees but with the stripes going in different directions to make it stand out, the monkeys features are stitched on in dark blue and the inside if his ears which stick out from the sides of the dungarees have blue checked fabric in them.
For me when it comes to Jayden's clothes it is important that they are hard wearing and can withstand the constant washing that baby clothes get, these so far appear to be standing up to this.
There are no complicated washing instructions both the dungarees and the bodysuit can be put in a normal 30 to 40 degree wash with items of a similar colour, it is recommended that the dungarees are washed inside out however I personally have not done this and they still look good.
One thing I like about this set is that it can be tumble dried meaning I can quickly get it dried even if it is raining.
Jayden's set has been washed several times and tumble dried and still looks as good as new, it really seems to be hardwearing and is if an excellent quality.
As I have mentioned the Monkey Dungaree and Bodysuit Set is available from Next, it cost £16.00 which personally I thought is excellent value for money, the set is of an excellent quality and is very well made, it is also very versatile and could be suitable for casual everyday wear of even a smarter occasion. In my opinion it is worth they money.
This set comes in a range of sizes including
* Up to 1 month
* Up to 3 months
* 3 to 6 months
* 6 to 9 months
* 9 to 12 months
* 12 to 18 months
The Dungaree set comes in a range of sizes so there is something for everyone. Jayden is just over a year now and he's got the 12 to 18 month ones, these are a little big but not so much he cannot wear them, there is a bit of room for growth so he will be able to wear them for a while before he grows out if them, personally I would say the sizes are generous.
Since Jayden has this set he has worn it quite a lot, the dungarees are extremely cute and as I have mentioned could be worn for a smart or casual occasion. The fabric these are made from are very soft making then comfortable for your child to wear, the style of them makes them practical for your baby to move around in and also for nappy changes.
The dungarees are hardwearing, they still look as good as new despite Jayden crawling around in them and also constant washing and tumble drying.
The Dungaree set are reasonably priced and are good value for money. I would highly recommend this set to anyone looking for a cute outfit for their little boy especially as it is very cute and has some lovely matching accessories. Read the complete review |

George Striped All in One
by NUDUL
The bright colours in this body suit are nice and bright with a lion patch on the front, just right for getting ready for summer. This body suit comes in a range of sizes from first size through to 18 - 24 months and is available from Asda in store and online. It costs just £4 for the suit which has press stud fastenings underneath and ... an envelope opening at the top to make it easier to put over the baby's head.
The suit is 100% cotton and can be washed as normal in your machine, I have had no issues, washing on a 30 degree wash using non-bio washing liquid and sensitive fabric conditioner as well as using vanish on it in a pre-wash to get tricky stains out (we're in the process of weaning at the moment). Not only does it wash well with no shrinkage but there has been no loss of colour through washing either. I have also had to wash at higher temperatures and had no issues with colour loss or shrinkage either.
The suit is short sleeved and has short legs as well, so is great for during the warm days, or even as something lighter for bedtime. My son is comfortable in this suit, it doesn't have anything that irritates him (we haven't even had to remove the tag on the inside at the stomach) and he doesn't over-heat in it.
For the price I would happily recommend it to others as it is well made and good quality. Read the complete review |
