      A nice outfit from Asda

As you will may see from a previous review I recently nipped to Asda and found that they had a large sale on baby clothes, I took this opportunity to stock up on some winter clothes for Jayden as he only has summer things really some of which are starting to get a bit small for him. I picked up several different outfits one of which was the 2 Pieces Animal Print Baby Set, I was actually draw to this by the bright and colourful top that came with it.

The 2 Piece Animal Print Baby Set consists of a long sleeved top and a pair of tracksuit style trousers to match, the top is designed to look like a bright orangey colour short sleeved t shirt over the top of a long sleeved cream coloured t shirt, the orange t shirt part is made to look like it has 3 buttons at the v shaped neck, you can also see a small amount of the cream coloured t shirt at the neck area as well, this is all one top despite the fact that it is made to look like two separate tops.

Along the bottom of the top is a motif of a tractor pulling two carts, in one cart is a cow and in the other is a sheep, written above the tractors are the words "Chug Chug", above the cow is "Moo Moo" and above the sheep is "Baa Baa", the tractor and the carts are made up of various shades of greens and creams, this stands out nicely against the bright orange background.

The stitching on the top is also designed to contrast with the cuffs of the cream top being edges with orange stitching and the cuffs and bottom of the orange top being edges with a cream coloured stitching. The trousers as I have mentioned are in the style of tracksuit bottoms, they are mainly a kaki colour with cream strips running down each leg and contrasting orange stitching to match the top, there is also cream stitching around the cuffs of the trousers as well, there is no design on the trousers as with the tractor motif on the top, these are just plain, however the colour combinations makes them co-ordinate perfectly.

When I purchased the 2 Piece Animal Print Baby Set I wanted something that was going to be suitable for Jayden to wear in the winter as well as now during the slightly colder autumn months, this was ideal as the top and trousers can be worn on their own or as it gets colder I can put another t shirt under the top to keep Jayden warm.

The whole set is made from 100% cotton making it very soft and flexible, perfect for layering during the winder, the trousers being in the form of tracksuit bottoms are reasonably thick so will easily keep your baby nice and snug. There are no special care instructions for this outfit you can simply put it in on a 30 or 40 degree wash with your regular washing of similar colours. I was a little worried that the colour in the top may run a little when I first washed it due to it being such bright colour, however this was not a problem at all and the colour did not come out or fade, the whole outfit looks as good as new and still in excellent condition.

As I have mentioned I purchased the 2 Piece Animal Print Baby Set from Asda, it is part of their own range of baby clothing, when at full price this set should be £7.00, I think this is excellent value for money as the whole outfit is well made and finished to a high standard despite the cheap price. However I actually purchased this set in a sale at Asda and it cost me just £3.00 which was even more of a bargain. It is certainly well worth the money and a good quality outfit.

The 2 Piece Animal Print Baby Set comes in a range of sizes starting with Tiny Baby and finishing at size 12 - 18 months, Jayden is currently 5 months old, however we purchased this outfit in size 0 -3 months, partially because Jayden does seem to need a smaller size in his clothes, although this can sometimes cause a problem as the smaller size fits him around his waist but is too short in the leg and the next size up is perfect in length but too big around, anyway from experience we have also found that the Asda sizes in baby clothes are quite generous. When we got the outfit home and tried it on him we definitely went for the correct size as the 0 -3 month size was actually a little bit on the big size for him especially the top, however this means he has room to grow and the outfit will last him through the winter.

Overall I have been extremely pleased with the Asda 2 Piece Animal Print Baby Set, I love the brightly coloured top and the cute animal and tractor motif on it, and the kaki colour trousers means that I can also put these with other tops as well as the one it came with making the set very versatile. The fabric is lovely and soft giving your baby flexibility and comfort, it is also ideal for layering in the winter months. The outfit was a real bargain and in my opinion it is certainly well worth the money, even at full price. The outfit is proving to be hardwearing despite the hard life it has being worn by a baby, it washes extremely well and looks as good as new. I would highly recommend this outfit to anyone with a little boy as it makes a lovely everyday outfit.
