A lovely pair of little girls shoes

Having a toddler means that once walking proper shoes are required to support their feet. My daughter only wears Clarks shoes as I feel they offer the best support and protection for her little feet. Yes, plenty of other stores do shoes in her size but for me I'd rather spend a bit more and know he feet are being looked after. My parents only ever bought me Clarks and I now seem to be doing the same for her.

Clarks have recently had a great sale on where I have managed to pick up two pairs of shoes at quite heavily reduced prices. The pair in question for this review are know as Ida Delilah and went from an RRP of £24.00 to £9.00 and of course I couldn't resist (they are now back at their original price tag). They are classed as a cruiser type shoe which is although ideal for first walkers Clarks have advised me recently that they are perfectly wearable by toddlers who are walking well.

Ida Delilah comes in a pink berry coloured leather which rather than being a bright pink it is more of a deep fuchsia with a touch of purple thrown in but regardless of the specific colour they are certainly bold to look at! They are a lovely pair of T-bar style shoes which have a few perforated holes in the front of the shoe adding a bit of detailing as well as having a glitter finish to the padded cushioning area around the ankle area of the shoes. Incredibly girly! The leather is incredibly soft right from the word go which of course won't rub on the child's feet.

As said above they are specifically designed for the pre-walking stages as they have a very flexible rubber type sole which is covered in raised circles to give grip on a floor surface. To give support to a little person's feet they have padded cushioning around the ankle as well as rubber toe bumper to protect their little feet against any knocks and bumps that will inevitably happen when first walking. To keep the shoes secure they have a lovely T-bar strap which does up with a colour co-ordinating buckle and is fully adjustable to ensure the most comfortable fit for your child.

My daughter has size 'F' width and these shoes of course come in her size (currently a 4F) and I sometimes find with velcro shoes that they can gape a little yet with these because the buckle can be adjusted quite a bit they fit her incredibly well. My daughter of course seems to like them because of them being such a vibrant colour and of course having that glittery detailing makes them a winner with her! However, for me I like them because they provide her with adequate support which is needed.

Now my daughter is a confident walker having walked for over a year now and she does seem to prefer the softer soled shoes over her actual walking shoes with the harder sole. These of course have that soft rubber sole which she finds much more comfortable and of course they still manage to support her feet. The straps do up enough to ensure they are tight enough on her petite feet so they stay put but they don't dig in or cause any discomfort or at least none that is visible to the foot and that she hasn't told me of any.

I do really like Ida Delilah and I am incredibly pleased I managed to get them at such a reduced cost as we all know Clarks are not the cheapest of places to buy shoes. They manage to support my daughter's feet when she is flying around at a million miles an hour and don't cause her any pain and she is more than willing to put them on and help do them up herself. The leather does require looking after though especially if you do have a child just learning to walk but Clarks do, do colour matching leather care products.

My daughter has now had this pair for about a month and wears them regularly and they still look as good as new albeit I do try and keep her shoes looking their best! I really don't have any complaints about them at all as they offer everything you need in a pair of pre-walker shoes.
