      Designer clothing for any occasion

      ~*~ The Company ~*~

The company of D'ARCY BROWN was first launched in 2002 by Clare & Mike Brown.
The reason they note for starting up their venture was when their daughter, Darcy, was born. The couple explained that at the time of the birth of their child, they found it difficult to purchase clothing that was individual, stylish and practical clothing without all the logos. Therefore, after many years served in the Walt Disney Company, the couple bought their first premises in Fulham. They started their company designing appropriate and quality clothing. With this ethos in mind, they still ensured their clothing ranges were practical.

      ~*~ The Clothing ~*~

All of D'Arcy Brown clothing are machine washable at 30 degrees, and some at 60 degrees. Their uses of a wide range of beautiful fine European materials are specifically matched to the designs of their uniquely stylish and classic features in their products. The clothing holds a broad spectrum of styles that afford much choice, whether for special occasions, smart casuals, lovely day and nightwear. All clothing is designed in Britain then manufactured in Italy & Portugal.

      ~*~ Stockist ~*~

The clothing D'ARCY BROWN can be located almost everywhere from Harrods, Fortnum & Mason and even as far away as Japan & Australia. But for me, on-line is the best! No travelling, offers on delivery charges & ease of shopping!

~*~ The product under review ~ D'Arcy Brown Baby Cargo Trousers in Glasgow Check ~*~

These smart boys Cargo trousers are in a traditional Glasgow Check, a delightful blue in differing subtle shades. They are soft to the touch with a practical elasticated waist. Although being elastic, the trousers presented no discomfort to my grand-son, being loose enough for comfort but practical to keep up!
These trousers have a lovely added feature of side pockets. Just right for little boys who love to gather interesting little items in their environment!

The trousers are made from 60% polyester and 40% cotton. I found this combination of materials perfect for laundering and quick pressing. The trousers were laundered countless times, yet came up looking 'as new'. The polyester content made ironing obsolete as long as the garment was hung immediately after washing. All DB clothing range appears to be machine washable.

These trousers go from age 6 to 24 mths, and give a very accurate fit. I obtained the trousers for when my grand-son was six months. The trousers can be perfectly matched with plain and colour tops, making them a practical little wardrobe in themselves!

Although these can be purchased on offer for £22.00, do not be surprised to pay up to £45 + for separates! And much more for the couple's other specially designed clothing. I wouldn't spend that kind of money on an item that last for such a brief time. Obtained on Ebay in a collection of designer clothing for £25 made these an absolute bargain.

For me, although this clothing speaks quality, and I love the feeling that the Browns have deep moral values by producing appropriate wear for children, the prices are very high. But, due to the over-heads of the fine materials, personal designs, manufacturing abroad, I appreciate why the expense.
