      Very helpful

A nice set of t shirt bodies, but expensive considering the baby will quickly grow out of them

When I started looking after my niece a lot more I decided to keep a few things for her at my place permanently, for the sake of ease and so we didn't keep having to cart all her kit backward and forwards. I was going to buy some t shirts for her new, but my sister in law said they had been given so many of them it would do her a favour if I took some to keep at my place for Ellie. She has quite a few things from JoJo Maman, and so it did not surprise me when I looked at the label of one of the t shirts that it was by the brand.

The JoJo Maman t shirt I keep for Ellie is part of a pack of three, although it has a slightly different design to those depicted on this page, despite being of the same style. It has dark pink piping around the neck and bottom of the t shirt, a white background, and dark pink, pale pink and pale blue stripes running across it horizontally. It has three poppers around the bottom, which makes changing nappies and fitting the t shirt much easier, too. The t shirt is one of a pack of three, and one of the other t shirts is plain and the final one is floral. All t shirts in the pack have the same dark pink piping, which is a lovely touch and brings out the candy colours of the other shades in the design.

The t shirts are 100% cotton, and they feel very soft to the touch. This is obviously very important in clothing for young children, as they have sensitive skin and should wear fabrics that will not chafe or irritate them. The only thing I have noticed about the t shirts when Ellie wears them is that she will occasionally pull at her neck, and as the material on the t shirt is slightly scalloped around this region I wonder if it is itching her slightly. I have not noticed any marking around her neck however, and to me the neckline does not feel at all coarse. The t shirt washes well, although I have found a hint of bobbling around two of the poppers. The t shirt has been washed perhaps six times and it does not lose its shape after drying, although I would be reluctant to put it in the tumble drier. My niece likes to play in the t shirt, and it is stretchy enough to allow her to do so without restriction. In terms of appearance it is also smart enough for her to be taken out in, while also doubling as a play suit.

A pack of three t shirt bodies costs £21 from the JoJo Maman website. While it is true they are very well made however, I think they are far overpriced. The design of the bodies too, while pleasant, does not reflect their price, and I would expect them to be slightly more durable after the number of washes I have put the one at my house through. This design is available in a number of sizes:

      - Newborn
      - 0 - 3 months
      - 3 - 6 months
      - 6 - 12 months

These bodies are well made and versatile, but I can't help thinking they should offer more for the price.
