Advantages: Practical, cute, good size for toddlers, waterproof hood, different varieties

Disadvantages: None

I bought the LittleLife Ladybird DaySack for my daughter last year, as she loves bags and I thought it would be nice to get her a little bag of her own that she could carry things around in safely and practically.

The backpack is based around a ladybird theme, and the main body of the bag is a vibrant and really attractive red colour, with black spots dotted here and there. At the top of the bag there's a zip compartment which contains a waterproof hood with a ladybird design - this is really useful for when it rains, as it was just big enough to fit over my daughter's head and stop her hair getting wet in occassional showers.

The backpack is large enough for her to fit her teddy into, as well as her little purse and a few bits and bobs, though it's definitely not a massive bag, being the perfect size for toddlers.

Along with the bag comes a safety strap which can be attached to the backpack and your wrist, though to be honest I haven't needed to use this as she prefers to hold my hand and stays put if I need my hand back for a few minutes. I do imagine that for many parents though, this would be a very welcome addition to the backpack.

The backpacks are also available in turtle, shark, cow, bee and butterfly shapes that I know off, and my son has the shark version. I prefer the ladybird!

The backpack has adjustable shoulder straps and there is also a clip that fastens across her chest when she wears it, meaning it's very secure and practical on her. The straps seem comfortable and my daughter loves to wear it and carry some of her own things in it, which lightens my load.

Although currently costing £15 it's not the cheapest of child's daybags, I have found that it's durable and long lasting, and considering the amount of cheaper bags she could trash in a year, this one has proved worth every penny. She loves it because it's cute and lets her carry things, I love it because it's cute and sensible, so I think it's a great buy.

Summary: A great backpack for toddlers both boys and girls.
