My 2 year old daughter is mad on Minnie Mouse and even though it really isn't the weather for it she insists on wearing slippers a lot of the time as she can put them on and off herself and she likes to be independent. When she went up in size a couple of months ago I knew I would have to buy her new slippers as there was no way she would do without them and I came across these ones whilst looking for trainers for her in Sports Direct.
The slippers cost us £5 which I thought was a really decent price for characters slippers and she was thrilled the second she saw them infact she wanted to wear them to leave the store. I bought the slippers in size 2-3 and they fit really well and she is a size 6 in shoe, I found it a little strange that the sizes are in ages rather than shoe sizes as I would have thought shoe size would differ even in children the same age.
The slippers are bright red in colour and have Minnie Mouse's head on the front of them in the usual colours, the slippers are elasticated around the ankles which helps them stay on the feet. To look at the slippers look rather flat around the toe area but we have found that they fit really well and Emily wears the slippers a lot so they are obviously comfortable.
The face on the front of the slippers stands out a little in the area of the Minnie Mouse's ears and then she has a lovely silky bow on her head which stands out too. The edge on the sole that you can see from above is glittery and I think it makes them look really pretty which my little girl loves as my youngest is a real girly girl.
The slippers seem to amazingly be quite cool as even though they are made of velour material Emily's feet don't sweat in them which surprised me as she is a girl who has pretty sweaty feet. The slippers are easy for her to put on and off herself but they stay nicely on the feet once she is wearing them. The slippers are really cute and Emily loves them even taking them to bed in the first few days of owning them.
Emily wears them whilst going between our house and her Grandparents next door but the soles haven't worn much at all. The slippers were well worth what we paid and they are loved by my little girl, I think there could be a fight when she outgrows them although she has plenty of growing space at the moment, 5 stars from us.
My little girl adores anything Minnie Mouse and it was last Christmas now that I bought her these Minnie Mouse slippers. I bought them in Mothercare but they are a Disney product as there is a Disney label inside them and a Disney trademark stamp. They cost me in the £10 region which is not bad considering she can still wear them now and they do look as good as new so I've been very impressed with the quality.
The slippers are cute although I think the Minnie Mouse figure on them doesn't look as good as some other Minnie Mouse products. Still it's easy to tell its her and she still looks rather cute.
The slippers are red and made of a plush material. On the front of them is a little figurehead of Minnie Mouse with a red and black shiny satin bow on her head. The head sits up a bit and looks good on the front of the slipper. The sole of the slipper is cute too. It is black but then it has lots of little red hearts on it as a sort of non slip feature and also the name Minnie.
When I bought these slippers for my little girl they were a bit too big for her as she has really tiny slim feet but what's nice about the slippers is that they have an elasticated back to them so this portion hugs the back of her foot and enables them to stay on a bit better.
My little girl loves wearing these slippers mainly due to the fact that they have Minnie Mouse on it. They keep her feet nice and warm and have been a big hit.
My daughter has really high insteps, finding shoes that fit right can be a bit of a nightmare, and slippers even more so. She has had a few pairs of Disney slippers, which come in two shapes, this one as pictured and a more traditional shape. I just buy the same ones over again as her feet grow, and they haven't failed me yet.
These particular slippers always come in a variety of colours/characters. My daughter usually chooses Mickey Mouse, but has had Special Agent Oso too. They're currently available in Mickey, Minnie or Jake & the Neverland Pirates. This makes them ideal for two siblings having the same shape, or even just personal preference.
The thing that I particular like about these is the shape. They fit perfectly on wide feet and high insteps. The elastic at the back makes them fit really nicely for a long time, as they hold the foot comfortably. Even when climbing up the furniture, they never seem to fall off, but bend with the feet.
Washing wise, they come up very clean in the washing machine. I tend not to put them in the tumble dryer, but they've gone through a couple of times by mistake, to no ill effects.
There are even pyjamas to match! I've had to buy a few pairs of those, too.
My little girl really doesn't like not having anything on her feet so rather than having her in shoes all the time I finally managed to convince her to wear slippers and initially she had a pair of Peppa Pig slippers. Once they started looking a little tatty I was looking for a new pair and since she is now Disney mad it seemed that was the type of theme to look for. In the Disney Store in the run up to Christmas I was looking at the Mickey Mouse range and saw a stand full of Mickey and Minnie Mouse slippers which were just perfect!
The Minnie slippers are totally adorable, and instantly appealing to children and even adults alike! They are made from a bright red velour which feels almost fleecy, and are nicely cushioned all the way round to ensure comfort for little feet. The back of the slipper is elasticated which makes for a really snug and comfortable fit and there is quite a lot of give in them so they do stretch well if required. The front of the slipper is where we see the character Minnie Mouse and it is a large close up of her head showing her huge smile. Minnie's ears and bow are in a 3D effect so they stick out from the slippers giving them an extra cute and appealing effect. The sole of the slipper is non slip which makes them suitable for non carpeted floors such as laminate.
Minnie slippers come in a range of sizes, and these are shown in two different ways, either age or size. They start at age 3-4 (size 7-8) and as far as I am aware they went up to age 7-8 (size 11-12) however this may not be totally accurate as they were the largest I have personally seen but they may have smaller or larger sizes available. I purchased the age 3-4 slippers and my little girl is just going up to a size 8 but there is a lot of room left in them so I do think they are quite large fitting. The slippers are washable, we have washed them twice so far (since Christmas!!) and they have come out perfect both times although I wonder whether the non slip sole will stand up to regular washing.
The price of the Minnie Mouse slippers was £7.00 from the Disney Store, however looking online you can now find them on sale at £4.90 which I think is a real bargain and am tempted to snap up a bigger size for when my daughter outgrows this pair. The slippers are exclusive to The Disney Store.
To say my little girl loves these slippers is quite an understatement, she wears them every single day and even begs to wear them to nursery! As soon as we come in from outside she will take her shoes off and put her slippers on so it shows they must be comfortable on her feet. I asked her what she likes about them and she says they feel smooth and furry so I think that must mean that she finds them warm and comfortable. I really cannot recommend the slippers enough, even more so at the price they are at the moment.
Thank you for reading my review :)
