As my youngest son is not quite fully toilet trained as yet, I packed his trusty old reusable swim nappy from Mothercare for our recent family break at Butlins. This particular swim nappy was a hand-me-down from his older brother but is still going strong after several years of occasional use, so it has certainly provided value for money. Mothercare sell a limited range of their own brand basic reusable swim nappies instore, generally speaking in fairly traditional 'boy' or 'girl' colours. Our swim nappy is a fairly neutral aquamarine shade, featuring suitable nautical themed images of boats and fish. The nappies come in a range of sizes, costing between £5 - ... My children both used these swim nappies when they were younger and I always found them to be a good buy. The swim nappies are designed to replace the babies usual nappy when going swimming. There is no need to put on a waterproof nappy as this is what the swim pants are for. It has a built in nappy which doesn't allow the water to get in therefore preventing the nappy from getting heavy and bulky. The swim pants have a soft terry lining on the inside which is great as it prevents rubbing and chafing which I found when using normal waterproof nappies. It is leak proof as it is has elasticated legs and waist. These stop anything coming in and ... Read the complete review

Jessie has really enjoyed going in the water right from when she was first born, a lot of babies don't like water to start with but she loved it so we started taking her swimming from a very early age. When I was pregnant with jess I received a few disposable swim nappies as free samples in my bounty packs so used these the first few times we went swimming but I didn't like the fact that they sagged a lot in the water as soon as she got in, not as much as a standard nappy would but more than I wanted them too so I decided to go and buy a non disposable pair of swim pants. Mothercare do a lovely range of these swim pants not only the one pictured ... Read the complete review

I bought one of the Mothercare Swim Nappies for my son when he was about 9 months old because we were going swimming twice a week and I didn't really like the disposable ones. The Mothercare Swim Nappy is reusable and so they are better financially, not to mention environmentally. There are several versions to choose from, but my son has the Mothercare Submarine Swim Nappy - which has quite a "boy" design on it, with little red and green submarines on it, and little fishes swimming around. There are also a range of sizes available, from small to extra large. The Mothercare Submarine Swim Nappy cost me £5.99, which I feel was an okay price - and like I said ... Read the complete review

I bought this in mothercare when I bought my daughters first swim suit. I thought the disposable swimming nappies were a bit pricey so I was looking for a cheap alternative and discovered this. It is designed to be worn in replace of nappies while the baby is swimming. Its like underwear with a padded bottom that acts like a sponge soaking up any liquids that may appear while underwater! They come in a range of colours, designs and sizes. I choose the ones for my daughter in pink with light pink frills and they looked really cute. They could be worn on their own too as they are not unattractive unlike those disposable swim nappies. The ... Read the complete review
