A great pair of slippers for boys

With the mornings and evenings getting ever colder as winter approaches, Harry has been moaning about his cold feet when he's sitting down and resting, even if he's got his socks on. So I decided it was time to invest in a pair of slippers for the winter, and had a little look online to find something suitable. Annoyingly, you can mainly seem to get mule type slippers for his size (a 12, quite big for his age) but I wanted more of a shoe type with a velcro fastening so he can get them on and off easily himself. We scoured the shops and internet before settling on these slippers from Next. These slippers are only available from Next, and are called "Transport Slippers". They are available in sizes 4-12 so should suit little toddlers through to bigger boys like Harry. They do look nice and masculine, with the blue body for the slipper with the lovely green piping, and I think this is actually what I like best about the slippers. The green is actually a little brighter in real life, so they do look really nice. The images are the same of each of the slippers, and feature a car, helicopter, stop sign and car related words. Each of the images is actually stitched into the shoes so there's no chance of the pictures wearing off which has happened in the past when I have bought Harry cheaper character slippers. The body of the slippers feels almost velvety, they are very soft and supple, so they are great for delicate little feet. They have a chunky velcro strap across the top of the slipper so you can tighten it accordingly. It's great for independent little boys like Harry who like to do it themselves, but need a slipper you can tighten to keep it on their feet. The sole is nice and thick, it is also flexible and allows for easy bending when children bend down or run about in them as they often like to do! Harry never moans that they are uncomfortable and wears them for hours at a time. The inside of the shoe is soft, there's no fussy labels to annoy children, and Harry happily wears these without his socks on too. Slippers can get a bit smelly when feet get sweaty but I haven't noticed this with Harry's slippers yet, and he's had them about a month now so I am impressed with the quality of them. As for sizing, I find these reflect shoe sizes quite. I have previously had to buy Harry's slippers in a size smaller because they flap about on his feet, but the size 12 in these slippers is just right for him. The Velcro fastening allows for me to do it up nice and tightly across the top of his foot so they stay on nicely. Harry always says his feet feel nice and cosy when he's wearing them, they are really good quality, and I think the price I paid which was £7 is really good value as I expect these slippers to last through until the weather gets much warmer! They're lovely and brightly coloured, and Harry loves the car pictures on them, so they are definitely perfect slippers for boys who love their transport! Recommended! Price: £7 Item Code: 493-861-X46 Sizes: 4-12 Available in-store and online. Thank you for reading.
