A nice warm sweater that is practical and looks good

I love buying Jayden clothes and have bought quite a few things from www.vertbaudet.com, one item I have been really pleased with is a little brown sweater, I paid £8.99 for it and it had been well with the money.

The sweater is made from what looks like chunky knit wool and does have a hand knitted look to it. The sweater is a mottled brown and beige colour, this was the only colour choice available when I bought Jayden this but they now have it in beige.

The sweater has long sleeves with a cable pattern down the centre of them and the front of the sweater has 2 little patch pockets sewn on at angles, these do not serve any real practical purpose they are just an added decoration but to be honest due to the mottled colours of the wool you cant really see them very well.

The neck is rounded and each side has 3 beige coloured buttons which run at an angle down the front of the jumper, these buttons are all functional and mean getting the jumper over Jayden's head is so much easier than regular necks as it flaps right open. Jayden, like a lot of babies, hates being dressed and gets very panicky if a jumper or top gets stuck being pulled over his head, the neck of this sweater is so practical and prevents this from happening, also the buttons add a little bit of interest to the front of the sweater.

The sweater can be washed with similar colours on a 40oC wash and I have found it washes up brilliantly, baby clothes have a tough life and this sweater has been in and out of the machine more times than I can remember but it hasn't stretched or bobbled at all.

I've been pleased with this brown sweater, it looks really good with jeans but also it looks smart with trousers, its nice and soft on Jayden's skin, the wool isn't itchy or scratchy at all. I bought this in a 6 months size and really its been slightly big for Jayden but not so big he hasn't been able to wear it. I would say the sizes in Verbaudet are a bit on the generous side.

I've been really pleased with the quality of this sweater, its practical when dressing your baby and can be worn with both casual and smart trousers. Its a lovely sweater for the colder months and one I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
