Advantages: Said to be the nearest to breast milk

Disadvantages: One of the most expensive

I breast feed my baby for the first 3 months then he decided enough was enough and became difficult to feed I was advised to wean onto formula which I did. I started on SMA only because my mum used this for us. After about 2 weeks my son became constipated and my friend recommeded Aptimal to me. As my first I only wanted the best for him so I tried it and we haven't looked back he loves it and now at 8 months he is on the follow on milk. Aptimal is a lot lighter in colour then many of the other powder milks and seems to be better on their stomachs. All the people I have spoken to who use Aptimal say how it really agrees with their child. The powder is maybe a little more expensive then the other well known brands but does it really matter if its for the best interests of your child. You can also buy it in the ready made cartons which is great to have in your nappy bag for a just in case.

Summary: Highly recommend would not use anything else
