Robert loves his vegetables, and it's so convenient to buy a couple of jars of baby food to carry around when we go visiting. I trust the ASDA brand name, and have had success with most varieties, however with one variety recently (parsnip?) he was spitting it out faster than I could shovel it in! I was surprised to find fennel in the list of ingredients. This strong, aniseed flavoured herb/vegetable seems unsuitable for a baby (and is one of my least favourite vegetables). I understand that it is regarded as a digestive, but it does seem an odd choice of ingredient. I'm much more careful now when I shop, I take a few minutes to check the label of new ...
