Weaning baby
All mums want the best for their baby. Which real food to start with?
Yes it?s easy to say make your own. But it?s not always convenient. My daughter has just started weaning her son. And so far has pureed her own veg and fruits. But will one day need that jar. Both she and I have been looking on the Internet at baby food makers. I found this organix site, which seemed quite good. Organix were offering money of coupons so being the caring parents I is I sent away for them. I received at my address a giving weaning tips and advice. This booklet gave recipes for baby food that you made yourself. It also described all their own baby food products jars of food suitable for over 4 month olds and foods designed for the slightly older baby.
These jars are made with organic produce and the baby meals are gluten free in stage 1 and 2 meals.
This booklet is full of what I consider good information with good sound advice.

I also received several money of vouchers, which I passed on to sleepydormouse to use if she wanted to. Apparently she also looked at their site and also has these vouchers. Still any saving is good when you have a tiny baby.

I work with special needs children and we have been doing a project on foods in our science lessons. It is good for our pupils to experience different foods as a way of understanding what we are talking about. Some of the students are unable to chew ?real food? .We purchased one of these pots when we were talking about vegetables I think it was carrot and pea. As I do not like giving the children something I have not checked out and also I wanted to know what I was suggesting to my daughter I tried a teaspoon full. I found it a smooth mix perfect for babies and our children the flavour was like the real vegetables. I gave a little to the children while we were talking about healthy eating and carrots vegetables being good for you. The children all tasted a littl
e.
I really would sugest these are a good alternative for when you need them , days out or days when things are just not going right and you need a break from preparing? ?real? food for baby. Although Sleepydormouse has a freezer full of home prepared ice cubes of pear, potato, carrots.
