Great for a Vitamin C boost when under the weather (Cow & Gate Apple & Orange Ready to Drink 4mth+)

Advantages: nice fruity flavour Disadvantages: a little costly
A few months ago my son had a really bad cold and a sickness bug. He was suffering with vomiting and diarrhoea and had an awful cough which made him really grouchy and miserable. As he was sicking up the majority of his milk feeds I realised I needed to keep him hydrated with something other then milk as he started refusing to take it. I had a jar of the Cow & Gate Apple and Orange Drink in the cupboard which I had picked up from Asda for about 39p, to try, but hadn't got around to it until now. With its Vitamin C qualities I thought I would give it a go. I diluted the Drink, just to water it down more (it doesn't actually require diluting) into one of his feeding bottles and he took it really well. It seemed to really quench his thirst, so i gave him it little and often, but he got through it quite quickly. I asked Daddy to nip out and get some more, which he did but only in these same small jars, they did not seem to stock it in bigger bottles. Summary: Good to keep in just in case, worked well for little mans cold and poorly tummy |
