My daughter has been being weaned now for a month and I always like to ensure that she is getting a healthy balanced diet. My son wasn't on this food for a long time because he enjoyed my food. My second daughter also was the same but my youngest daughter is a problem she will not eat my food so these jars are coming in very useful.
Creamy chicken is one that she will eat but is not a big fan of if she can have a fish jar or vegetarian then she will give or take this one. The ingredients in this are pumpkin, carrot, potato, cream, chicken, wheat starch (gluten free), corn oil, yeast extract and is made with the cooking water. I like the selection of ingredients in this because they are different. I have never given any of my children pumpkin and even now they are not tempted to try it if I buy one. I think there is a wide range of flavours and vitamins in this jar that will help with my daughters development.
This is 125g jar which I like because I think they are just big enough for when you are first weaning your child. I use half a jar at dinner and half a jar at tea. Once this jar is opened you are able to keep any that is left for 48 hours after so I am able to have 2 jars open to give my daughter a different dinner to tea. This particular jar is part of the poultry range with is distinguished with a yellow top with a picture of a chicken leg on the top. I like that all the jars for the different meats are colour coded because it makes it easier to know what you are buying.
There is no artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives in this jar, it has no added egg and is gluten free. The range of baby balance food is made by baby grade vegetables that are grown specially for your child and only the best is picked and put into the jar. The jars are approved by moms and babies which I think is good because nothing is better than being recommended. Cow and gate also have baby nutritionists that develop the ingredients in the meals that they make, this I like because I feel re assured that my children are getting the best start in life. This jar is not suitable for vegetarians and contains wheat and milk, this is not suitable for children with a lactose allergy and I would suggest to always read the packaging before buying it to make sure it is suitable for your child.
There is a serving suggestions section on the jar which is useful for first time parents who may need some guidance about how to feed their child. I think this is useful information and think that it was a good idea to have this on the jar. The food is very smooth and is a stage 1 grade which means it is easy for your child to swallow when they are first eating. I like that it has a good date on the food and that it is easy to store.
I would recommend this to parent who want to ensure their child is getting the best and helping them with their development, I think cow and gate do a lovely range of foods for babies and this is a good one in our house. These are widely available and are usually on a special deal in supermarkets. I think they are good value for money and are brilliant if you are out and about to be able to feed your child. If you buy them from boots you also gain club points which come in useful. I think these are the best for my child and she is enjoying them at the moment.
