i have recently started weaning my daughter,although its stated that milk is best for you baby up until 6 months some babies need more than milk and my daughter was one of them! she slept all the way through the night for ages then as soon as she was 4 months she started waaking in the middle of the night for a feed, then she started trying to chew on everything, and then was only going for 2 and a half hours then demanding another feed. so is decided to try her with a few tea spoons of baby rice. first day didnt go that well there was more around her mouth and on her bib! second day didnt go that bad and by the fifth she was having 5 teaspoons.now she seems to love it, the good thing about it is you can make it as runny or thick as you want and it tastes the same as her milk and is familier to her,i think this is an ideal weaning food to start with.
