“ Brand: Cow & Gate / Age: 4 months „
My baby was a bit of a fussy eater at first and did not like the Cow and Gate range. However, the Cow and Gate Baby Balance Summer Fruit Salad was one of the foods from the range that he did like. They say that babies prefer the sweet foods rather than vegetables and this was definately true with my baby. The fruit salad is made from grape and mandarin juice with apple and bananas. My baby had ate bananas and apple purees previously so this probably helped with him liking the fruit salad.
The fruit salad can be given to babies at four months plus, which was the age I gave this to my baby. It can fed to baby straight from the cupboard, so no need to rush around warming food when your baby is hungry. One jar lasted two days, as the food must be kept in the fridge once opened.
The fruit salad was definately one of the best out of the cow and gate range and this is one of the only jars from the range that I would buy again.
Now i must admit I am a lucky person I have never stuggled with my children to eat and they make sure they let you know that they like to eat too.
This pudding was one of my daughters favourite although I found it a bit strong and tangy. She always had a pudding to follow her dinner meal and these are for a child 4 months +. I know they now advise you not to feed your child solid foods until they are 6 months but my children were hungry children so I wouldn't deney them if they wanted it.
It comes in a small jar so when they are first starting to eat you will not use the whole jar in 2 feeds but this can be stored for upto 24 hours after opening in the fridge which is great because you get 3 days worth of pudding out of it.
Boots tend to be the best on the deals to buy this 3 for £2 but they do swap and change what the deals are on and you can collect points on your advantage card at the same time.
It is good because you do not have to warm it up for your child to eat you just open the jar and feed them so If you are out it is easy. You are also able to put the lid back on if they have had enough but if you are feeding out of the jar it must be disgarded due to if their saliver gets in the jar it can make the food bad and harm your child.
I agree with puddings after every meal for my children as long as they are healthy and my children do not seem to mind this. This jar is a fruity mixture that is good for them and will give them a taste of fruit that they will eat when they are older.
