      Tasty

I have 2 daughters aged 6 and 2 and both of them really love the Frutapura fruit pots, my youngest daughter is allergic to strawberries so cannot eat this variety but when I find these on offer I always buy some of this variety for my eldest daughter as even though she is older than what the makers recommend we mix the puree in with natural yoghurt for a yummy desert.

The pots are available in all supermarkets and do occasionally appear in discount type stores, a sleeve containing 4 plastic pots of the puree cost £1.79. I never buy these at full price and watch out for them being 3 for £3 although more often than not they are 2 for £3 since prices have risen since I started buying them.

The product comes in small plastic pots which have a foil lid on them which pulls back the same way a yoghurt pot would. The puree is really smooth much smoother than I have ever managed to make and I have tried every which way, the puree is quite runny so I would suggest a spoon with a decent curve on it for feeding a child these. The puree is a dusky pink in colour and you can see a few dark flecks inside which are the strawberry seeds but when you are eating it you are unable to detect them.

The puree contains a third of your childs daily vitamin C requirement and has no added colours, flavours, sweeteners or preservatives. For anyone who has a child with allergies this puree has no milk, lactose, gluten or egg which is great as my youngest before she became allergic to strawberries also had a problem with milk which thankfully passed not long after she turned 1.

The puree tastes lovely, it is a lovely sweet taste within being too tart, I have been known to join my eldest daughter in eating a pot of this with some yoghurt although I personally prefer the apple and pear variety. You can easily taste both the apple and the strawberry in the puree although personally I am unable to taste the apricot.

The ingredients for the pots are Apple (78%), Apricot (9%), Strawberries (9%), a teaspoon of concentrated apple Juice & elderberry Juice, Vitamin C, even though my daughter allergic reaction is very slight and just simply a few blotches she does react to these even with the small quantity of strawberry in them.

I would recommend these to children old and young, they are great to boost a fussy childs diet which I most certainly have, the price is a little too much for 4 100g pots in my opinion but like I said I buy them when they are on a decent offer and make sure I stock up.
