Advantages: Smooth and easy to swallow; Nice range of flavours

Disadvantages: None

I looked after my baby cousin for a couple of hours today and when they arrived my aunt gave me 2 pots of this Plum And Apple Frutapura, the baby is only 4 months but is proper hungry all the time so they've had to wean her a bit early. I remember my little sister used to have these all the time.

They are like pots of yogurt but inside is fruit puree, the Frutapura is made for kids between the ages of 4 - 36 months but I can't really see a 3 year old wanting to eat one because their taste buds are a lot more strong at that age.

These smell mega fruity, they haven't got any added sugar or flavours so the purees don't smell sweet or anything but they do smell quite nice.

I tried a spoon and thought it was nasty (lol!!!) but I can't rate it down because of that as my cousin, sister and loads of other babies I know can't get enough of the stuff. The Frutapura's are completely smooth so even the youngest baby won't have any trouble swallowing it, the main taste in this one is deffo the plum but you can taste apple behind it as well.

The texture is a bit like very thin apple sauce that you have on your dinner and I suppose the taste is similar as well..... only with plum added to it! It's not very sweet but that's a good thing because it proves that the only sugar in them is the natural sugar that has come out of the fruit, to my taste buds the puree is a bit sour actually but that shows how used to sugar being added to everything I am. The baby I fed with it today didn't cringe or pull a face or anything so it can't be that sour.

I remember when my sister had these she would have them for a meal when she was very small and then we'd use them as puddings when she got bigger and could cope with more food. She loved all the flavours but apparently my little cousin is a bit more picky and only likes this one.

They cost about £1.70 for 4 pots of Frutapura and that's not a bad price because they're 100% fruit..... still loads dearer than pureeing your own fruit but more convenient.

Recommended!!!

Summary: I've Never Met A Baby Who Doesn't Like Frutapura
