Cow and gate goodnight milk has been having rave reviews down my local playgroup alot of the mums have been saying how because of this milk there 2 toddlers have been sleeping through the night for the first time blah blah blah.

Did I dare believe it was true? no of course not.

So of we went to do our weekly shop and we walked down the baby aisle, we picked up the nappies and walked on, only for me to run back and pick up this wonder milk!!

So that night I did the usual routine but instead of my daughter normal milk I made up this magic milk.
The milk itself looked like the normal purple box of baby milk same fine creamy coloured powder. When it is made up it is slightly thicker consitancy than the normal milk so I suppose it is meant to keep baby fuller for the night.
She fell asleep as usual and I placed her in her cot.

At 2.12pm she woke up!!

I thought first time, I'll try again so I did...

3.45, that night 12.20 the next.

So could it be this milk doesn't work?

So I did a bit of reading and found that this magic milk has in it

Baby rice the product you are told by health visitors etc not to add to bottles.

oh well its made by cow and gate so its ok!!!

I won't be buying another box thats for sure.

Summary: don't bother buying it

I have been giving this to my 1 year old for the past 3 weeks because she started waking at night.

3 weeks on she is still waking at night and it is taking longer and longer to settle her again. Last night she was full of wind and screaming.

Ton ight as she had her bedtime bottle it came to me in a moment of inspiration. It's the milk. It needs to been shaken so vigorously and further shakes are necessary to prevent the formula from settling. Shaking = bubbles = air being swallowed.

We will be giving her her normal cow's milk tomorrow night.

i am the mum at playgroup whose toddlers slept on this milk. it works purely if ur child wakes up from hunger during the nite as mine do. it is a thicker formula, therefore keeping them fuller for longer and taking away the need to wake for milk.

There's no detail about the actual product, but I wouldn't image anything would be a miracle to keeping a baby sleep through the night.
