More like Good Night Porridge (Cow & Gate Good Night Milk)

Advantages: My son likes it!!

Disadvantages: hard to tell if it actually helps

Well. I first starting using this milk about 6 weeks ago when my son hit 6 months. He has been sleeping really well anyway but an extra half hour sleep would have been spot on for me.

It is a slighter darker creamy yellowish colour that the other Cow and Gate Milks - C&G 1, 2, 3 - that we have tried already and seems to have a shimmer to it. the pack instructions say to shake for double the amount of time as with the C&G 1,2 or 3 because obviously the thickening agent needs more time to dissolve. It dissolves well initially but does tend to thicken up while he is drinking it and collects in the teat of the bottle in a clump making steady flow somewhat difficult.

It seemed to have the desired effect for the first 4 weeks, getting more sleep for us all was blissful. My little one has been poorly for a couple of weeks now and very unsettled, particularly at night so it is hard to tell at this moment in time if it is advantageous. However, when Asda had there recent Baby and Toddler event on, I stocked right up and now have x7 400g tubs to get through so i will be putting it to use, but must remember to keep shaking at every opportunity! on the odd occasin that my hungry man leaves any in the bottle is quickly thickens again, looks like porridge.

I like it but its hard to tell if it actaully helps his sleeping pattern at all. Every baby is different, as we so often hear!
