Milk does not do what it says on the tin!! (Cow & Gate Good Night Milk)

Advantages: None that I can see.

Disadvantages: Costs more and achieves nothing.

My daughter has always been a good sleeper and started sleeping through the night at a very early age. However, as the mornings started getting lighter she was waking up early and not going back to sleep. I was looking for something that would help her sleep longer when I got some post from Cow & Gate with some money off vouchers for Good Night milk, I decided to give it a try. That night I gave her some and strangly after having the same amount as she would have of her normal milk she was looking for more. I put her to bed hoping she would sleep a bit longer in the morning but she woke up even earlier than usual. The next night I gave her an extra oz of milk which seemed to satisfy her but she still woke up earlier in the morning. Again the next night she was given an extra oz but still she didn't sleep any longer. I went back to her normal milk, with this she was satisfied with her usual amount and went back to sleeping in to her normal time. The milk I usually give her is Cow & Gate Follow on milk for babies 6 months plus - stage 3 which costs £6.94 in Asda for 900g, making it 77.1p per 100g. The Cow & Gate Good Night Milk cost £4.97 for 400g, making this one £1.24 per 100g. Considering the Good Night Milk costs so much more than her usual Follow On Milk I would have expected to see at least a small difference in her sleeping, yet there was none, if anything things deteriorated. I personally will not be using this milk again as i get extra sleep and more importantly better value for money with with her normal milk.

Summary: Really not worth paying the extra money.
