Advantages: great tasting, healthy desert with fruit puree

Disadvantages: a little pricey - but worth it

As my son is approaching 6 months, I was recommended by my health visitor to try some baby yoghurt type products to increase the types of food I'm giving my baby, so I tried the Danone baby fromage frais.

It is excellent, it comes in packs of six small pots, 2 apple & strawberry, 2 apple & 2 apple & banana. It's made with follow-on milk which is better for older babies than cow's milk as it has higher levels of iron and the protein & vitamin contents are adjusted for growing babies. (It is the only fromage frais which is made of follow-on milk.)

Not only does each pot contain fromage frais, it also contains a helping of fruit puree (34%). If you are like me & don't have the time or facilities to make lots of fresh fruit or veg purees, this is excellent. It's actually the first time I got my boy to eat any fruit puree. (he hated the Heinz fruit purees) The first time I gave it to him, I mixed in the puree with the fromage frais & he wasn't keen on it, so the next time I gave him the fromage frais with a bit of fruit on every spoon and he loved it!
I'm very impressed with this product, it's a good, healthy dessert. It's a little overpriced, but it's a great way of giving your baby fruit if he isn't normally keen on it. I would recommend this product to every mum!

yes Danone is very good for baby food and milk products, it is just a shame the choice is not wider.

some more for you to try,cow and gate baby nd toddler yog and any full fat yogs asda own do some and they are nice,i used to mix a banana in with it,jess loved them. But dont be fooled with followon milk is best if your child has 2-3 potions of red meat(you can intro them at 6mths)plus veg its all the iron he needs!!
