Advantages: Pure ingrediants
Disadvantages: a little costly
Heinz Pure Juice . It was a great struggle to get our daughter to drink anything else but milk . Our health visitor had suggested that when weaning her to offer her boiled water or juice , to prevent thirst and constipation as she was now mainly bottle-fed and taking food three times a day. Well we tried boots natural water flavoured with peach ( they come in other fruit varieties too , uh strawberry and apple I think ) , well this did not go down well and out tot refused to drink it . Then we tired concentrated blackcurrant and apple juice , and she still wouldn’t drink it . We were just about to give up on the whole juice thing when my other half and I were in town . There were Heniz pure juice bottles , two in a pack , on a special try me for free promotion . Well I thought we may as well give this a go as it won’t cost us anything . We picked up both varieties that they sell in our local boots . Apple and carrot , and apple and cherry . The carrot and apple juice looked like bright orange paint and smelt foul ! It was so cloudy , well I poured it into the bottle , and to my amazement all 4 ½ oz disappeared in 5 minutes . Ok so I was on a winner with the apple and carrot , we tried her with the apple and cherry and she gulped the lot down . It’s a bit more expensive than other juices , but it’s pure juice and is enriched with vitamin C , so hopefully it will keep all the snuffles at bay .It is suitable from 4 months onwards. Each twin pack costs 98p and contains 2 X 125ml glass bottles of juice .It doesn’t need diluting so is excellent for just popping in the changing bag for feeding on the move . I haven’t tried but the bottles probably would fit the pre-sterilized teats and ringcaps that you can buy in boots . These drinks are well worth trying if your tot refuses to drink juice.
