We decided to have a change this year as neither myself nor Nigel my partner like Christmas pudding,we looked around and I remembered reading one or two op?s on ciao about Heinz deeply delicious cheesecake so off to Iceland we went.

We browsed around the freezers and I must admit some looked really appetising and then I spotted the one we were after. We debated for a while whether to have strawberry or blackcurrant and the blackcurrant won.

The packet itself is quite eye catching, it?s purple and written in the corner is written new in large red letters accross the front of the packet it says Heinz deeply delicious and underneath this it says blackcurrant swirl cheesecake.

There is a picture of a slice of cheesecake swirled around it, and on top of it is blackcurrant it looks really delicious so we decide to buy it.

There were others to choose from, Raspberry swirl, Chocolate, Strawberry, But the blackcurrant appealed to us so off we trotted to pay for it.

When we got to the counter we found out that they were only £1-75, so we bought two, well you never know we could have visitors. When the time came to defrost it we took it out of the packet and we left it for two hours to defrost.

While we were waiting I studied the box at the back it says a deep and delicious cheesecake with a crunchy biscuit base, a deep layer of light cheesecake filling swirled with a blackcurrant compote.

It is free from artificial colours and preservatives may contain traces of nuts. There is a guideline on the box for calories one for women and one for men, For women per daily amounts Calories 2,000. Fat 70g For men, 2,500 fat 95g.

now for the taste test, we both have a slice and it just slipped through the knife it was so soft. The blackcurrant com
pote was even more generous than I had expected it went all the way through, And the compote was so thick not thin as with other cheesecakes.

We both enjoyed
the taste of the blackcurrant all through the thick soft compote and the biscuit base was a bonus it really is all it says and more.

This cheesecake is not just delicious but very pleasing to look at too, I recommend it,and hope you will try it.
