“ Brand: Heinz / baby food / 230g. „
Now that my son has lots of teeth and can chew 'normal' food better, I rarely give him jarred or pre-prepared baby foods - he generally eats similar foods to us, which is far easier. However, we recently took a trip down to London to see a sick relative and so I was not sure how Jake would be catered for so I took one of these tray meals.
Mum's Own concept is that real mums put forward their recipe ideas and these inspire the Heinz jars and tray meals. The one is inspired by Barbara Cleary.
I bought this one in Asda for £1.07.
The ingredients are pasta, tomatoes, cheese, chicken, peas and onions (amongst other things...)
The tray is packaged inside a cardboard sleeve and contains 230g. The meal looks very orange and the most obvious ingredients are the pasta and peas. The dish smelt absolutely vile to be honest. I tried it myself both cold straight from the tray and warmed through and it really was horrid tasting.
Unfortunately my son did not enjoy this at all. He spat out each and every mouthful I tried him with.
Sadly this was a complete waste of money and I definitely will not be purchasing one of these again. On top of it being so gross it is very expensive.
Thank goodness his gnashers have come through and he can eat my food - I could neither cope with these, nor afford them!!
