When my little one was ready for solid food I bought various brands of baby food and HiPP was one of these. I was nervous about making my own baby foods to start with and wasn't sure what would make the best combinations. I didn't want to risk making what I thought would be nice and my little one absoluately hating it and being put off solid food. I love the fact that Hipp is organic and it gave me confidence that I was giving my baby good quality good. My little one loved the Hipp range and as he got older I moved onto the larger jars with lumps. When you buy the jars you can see the age range they are aimed at, as a result I was able to copy the texture when ... Read the complete review

When I weaned my first daughter I gave her only fresh food which I had prepared myself, I never ever gave her a readymade jar, and I was quite proud of myself for achieving this! Then, daughter number two came along and I intended to go down the same weaning route as the first, preparing everything myself and hopefully providing her with a healthy balanced diet. But unfortunately, she had other ideas, she was not so keen on my cooking (how dare she?!), and I found myself filling the freezer with things that she just didn't want to eat and felt like I was wasting my time and of course precious food. So I decided to stock up on a few different jars, and I ... Read the complete review

After spending hours and a fair amount of money trying different baby foods to find one my son liked I settled on Hipp Organic. Most of the time he eats homemade purees and other baby foods have a very different texture and really bland taste that he didn't like. This one is the most like home cooking I think. This baby food actually tastes quite nice! It doesn't fall out of the jar in one big jar shaped lump like some others and so far I've not found one that he doesn't like. They do taste of what's on the front but it's a very subtle taste not like when you cook the same food fresh (obviously...) There are a good variety of flavours to the stage 1 ... When my son got to 21 weeks old I decided that I thought he was ready to progress to pureed food as he seemed to be hungry all the time and showed all the signs that he was ready for weaning. As a new and first time Mum I was petrified of starting to give him food, I didn't know what to give him, what he was allowed to eat or anything regarding this so I invested in an Annabel Karmel book to help me along my way! When I first started Rhys with pureed food I made a trip to the supermarket and spent two full days cooking and pureeing simple fruit and vegetables. I then have to admit that once this started to run out and Rhys was at a stage to move ... Read the complete review

Fresh is always best, that is what I have always told myself but sometimes a person can be disorganised and busy and this is when Hipp Organic Baby Food has been a live saver. I tend to cook from fresh my 10 Months old baby food every 2 days and use a couple of jars every now and again. There are many different flavours but in my experience they don't taste as nice as real food and there are better baby foods on the market although they are a lot more expensive, I really like Plum and Ella's Organic but they are not as widely available as Hipp Organic. Hipp Organic seems to have a lot of offers on and off in supermarkets you can pick up 8 ... Read the complete review
