Advantages: Tasty recipes, good range

Disadvantages: Cost, confusing messages about ingredients

My daughter has suddenly decided she likes HIPP in a big way. From 4 months I always used Heinz (being a cheapskate) but got some coupons for HIPP so tried it out. I have yet to find a flavour she doesn't like. Even the most lumpy ones she will go for. There is a good range of vegetarian recipes (though we are not veggies ourselves) and although it costs a little more, it is money well spent when you know that half of it won't end up in the bin.

One criticism I would make, as with other babyfood makers, is that sometimes there are ingredients listed that we are told not to give our children. HIPP tell me that their honey, for example, is specially treated so it is safe for babies, but this gives a confusing message to parents. Some will assume that all honey must be ok as it appears in babyfood - which could be potentially a fatal assumption. Others may assume that they cannot trust this make of babyfood as they are including such ingredients. So this confusion is at best frustrating and at worst very dangerous.
