Advantages: easy to swallow, good calcium intake

Disadvantages: higher in sugar and fat

My son loves this - it has been great as a handy one to have in the cupboard when he has refused the lovely homemade mixes i have made up yet i feel he still needs something - i have to admit i do make most of my own meals for my son but this is a jar i do keep a stock of as it is easy for him to swallow, he has never refused it and it provides a good source of calcium. However i would not feed him this daily or anything near it as the fat content is quite high i feel and it contains quite a lot of sugar too to be given that frequently. I think it is a good option for first weaning your baby as it is quite a neutral flavour and easy texture to swallow and is easy for Mums to take with them if they are out and about rather than trying to find hot water to heat homemade things up.

Summary: good for a treat and easy to take with you when out and about
