Advantages: Less like real fruit for those children that don't eat real fruit
Disadvantages: Not very tasty
I exclusively breastfed my daughter for six months and then began Baby Led Weaning which worked wonderfully well. I bought these Kiddylicious Apple Crisps when looking around for new ideas for snacks for her to have when she was about 11months old. My daughter eats well and would eat apples, other fruit, veg and any recipe off netmums! But for some reason she would not eat these apple crisps. I too tried them myself and I must admit that they don't really taste much like apples, both of us preferring to eat a real apple instead.
I think that these apple slices are a good idea for children that aren't too keen on real fruit as many of my friend's children eat them no problem at all. My gut feeling tells me that it is better to eat these rather than no fruit at all however it is best to give 'real' food from any early age save going through another change.
Summary: If your child eats real fruit then I'd stick with that instead of buying these.
