A huge winner with the children

These are a huge hit in our house, with our children (we have 4), and also with us, as they are a great healthy treat, which children of all ages enjoy!
Aswell as cocoa and raisin, these bars also come in raspberry and apple, carrot cake and also orange and apple. We buy the fruity varieties also, and my children are happy with any of them (but i will concentrate on the cocoa ones).
You can buy these products in most supermarkets and health food shops (I live in a small town and they are available in at least 6 different shops), they cost somewhere in the region of £2, and there are 5 in a box.
I love this product. I love that it is a sweeet treat, without the rubbish that comes in products for older children and adults. The product is sweetened with fruit juice, and also has raisins in the product, so a lot of sweetness form those too.
They are lovely and soft, so good for little teeth to chew on, and have quite a crumbly texture.
I really cannot praise these enough. We have used them with each child from about 8 months, and my 6 year old still eats them (my 8 year old does now object to eating them!). They are still a big hit with my 2,4 and 6 year olds though and we get through 2 or 3 boxes a week (a mixture of theses and the fruit varieties). I am happy for them to take one of these to school or nurseru for a mid morning snack or take them along for an after school treat. I use them instead of sweets wherever I can.
I have also eaten these! In my opinion, for an adult they are too dry and a little bit tastless, but this is because I am used to more grown up, sugar laden products.
Perfect for kids, I think they make a great treat for children.

Cereal bars to curb your little one's hunger between meals.

Although my youngest granddaughter is now well over two years old, we still sometimes buy her the baby and toddler treats that she was weaned on as basically they are healthier than the 'normal' chocolates and sweets available in the shops.

These Cocoa and Raisin Cereal Bars are smaller than a cereal bar you would buy for yourself because these are made for such very small children, babies from twelves months old can eat these although I do know of mum's who have crumbled them up to give to smaller babies.

My granddaughter absolutely adores them and has done ever since she ate her first one. The cereal bar is sweetly chocolate flavoured but absolutely not sugary in any way, in fact if you enjoy very sweet treats then you may find that this bar isn't sweet enough for your tastes. However, this in my opinion is a very good thing as the less sugar we give our little ones the less they will become addicted to it in later life.

The texture is nice and soft, surprisingly soft actually - not at all like the cereal bars we adults are forced to endure! This is excellent and my granddaughter has never had any trouble chewing the cereal bar into enough of a pulp for her to swallow without choking.

She was a little perturbed at the raisins when she first tried one of these cereal bars, she does eat raisins but only from boxes and had never eaten any which had already been incorporated into her food. She coped well though once we'd explained what the black bits in her bar were!

I can't fault these at all. They are organic, low in sugar and have the Organix 'No Junk Promise' which reassures me that these bars are the very best I can possibly offer my granddaughter.

Now to just stop her reaching for my bars when these have run out!

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          look out for special offers

These come in a brown and green box with the blue "goodies" logo in bold and the "organix" bit a tad smaller. There are 6 bars in a box and the prices vary madly from what I have experienced although expect to pay £2.00 upwards though they do have bogof offers etc fairly often.

I buy these for my 2 and a half year old and have bought them from approx 8 months old (hes a very good eater). Anywhoo they are a good sized snack for a little one, they come in foil wrapped individiual bars so are easy to throw in your handbag/ nappy bag for a quick snack/bribe!

As far as snacks go they are fairly good and anything with raisins gets a big thumbs up from Mr - he adores them. As stated on the box they have a no junk promise so no artificial flavours, colours etc and these also contain wholegrain oats.

All in all they have been a firm favourite for over a year and as faddy as little ones can get I think anything that lasts that long and is still met with shouts of glee when the box is unveiled can only be a good thing. I cannot get out of a shop without a box if he sees them!

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

A yummy and healthy snack for kids and adults.

First, let me say that I don't have children and I've never fed this product to a child. I have, however, eaten them myself!
I first bought some because they were on offer for ten pence per bar in my local B&M (Bargains and More) shop and I thought I'd try them as they're vegan. In Sainsbury's they're about £2.25 for a box of six and you can also buy them in Boots and some other supermarkets (in the baby food section).
I think they taste great! They're very good at satisfying a chocolate craving as they're very sweet and contain cocoa but they're much healthier for you than a bar of chocolate.
The bars aren't very big as they're meant for toddlers but they make a good packed lunch box snack, or something to have during your tea break instead of biscuits.
They leave a pleasant after taste and I find them quite more-ish which could be a positive or negative thing depending on your point of view!
They're soft and chewy but not overly chewy, I guess it's so young children can eat them as their teeth are growing and so they can't choke on them.
The box contains lots of useful nutritional information in a way that's very easy to read and understand.
