Advantages: free from junk great taste

Disadvantages: the red coating gets everywhere and can easily crumble

As my son got a bit bigger and we were looking for snack food that he could try alongside rice cakes and fruit we found these in the baby aisle. Having already seen how much my son like this brands rice cakes I decided to give them a go. These are now one of his favorite treats.

About Organix
************

"Organix was founded in 1992 by Lizzie Vann. Her own experience of poor health in childhood left Lizzie with a passion for changing the children's food industry so that parents have more choice to give their children high quality, nutritious, organic food."

All their packaging has the "No Junk Promise" which they see as a "promise to you that our foods are always safe, pure and nutritious"
Which means that there is no added sugar; no artificial colourings; no MSG or added flavourings and no hydrogenated fat. All the ingredients are organically grown with reduced levels of salt fat and sugar.

The taste test and experience
*******************************
On opening the bag you notice straight away that it is full puffed corn Noughts and Crosses which are just the right size for little hands to hold and grab out of the packet. Each crisp is coated in a red powder now this powder gets everywhere and my son by the time he has finished munching these not only has a red moustache but a beard and red hands too so be warned it can be a messy snack. They have the same texture as other puffed crisps that most adults know such as Wotisits and Monster Munch. The crisps do have a pleasant tomato taste which is a bit tangy the taste continues for some time after. When I pinch one of my sons crisps these do have a tendency to stick to my teeth as such I have made sure that my little one has a drink of water with these to ensure he doesn't get any of that stickiness himself. The crisps are fairly big so your little one will need to be confident with chewing and lumpy food hence I guess why they say this is a 12 month plus snack

Where from
*******************
The individual bags are available from Tescos Sainsbury's and Waitrose all for the same price of 40 pence. I tend to buy these in the mutli-pack of 4 as they represent better value and they are often on special offer.

Overall
*******************
A great snack as an occasional treat that doesn't contain any worrisome ingredients to send your child hyper!

Summary: a nice treat for little ones with no junk bits
