      yummy in baby tummy!

      I am slowly becoming an expert on baby foods. I do make some at home but for the most part to be honest I give my son the store bought pots. My favourites by far are the Plum organics range.

      My son wasn't enjoying plain porridge and I didn't want to keep giving him banana breakfast every morning so when I got hold of Plum's Apple & Prune cereal I hoped for the best. The box comes with 2 100g pots inside and is for children 7 months plus. It is a blend of organic apple & spelt, prune & Quinoa bringing a whole lot of goodness to your baby first thing in the morning. I felt really good about myself after he had it as I knew I had set him up for a good day.

      My little man doesn't normally eat a whole serving. He's doesn't seem to want the amount of food a child his age should be having but the whole pot of this stuff went down in a flash and the added bonus of taking a longer nap!

      I know some times people worry about giving babies too many pots and not enough fresh foods but as these are so good and natural you needn't worry. I think really they are healthier then anything I make!

      From the website:

      It's naturally gluten-free...
      This makes it easy for babies to digest. (No baby under 6 months should be given a product containing gluten as it is unsuitable for immature digestive
      tracts).

      Ingredients
      * Organic apple puree (77%)
      * Water
      * Organic spelt wheat flakes (6%)
      * Organic prune puree (3%)
      * Organic quinoa flakes
      * Organic cinammon
      * Organic real vanilla extract

      In store the box of two pots will cost you about £2.40.

      The only trouble I have is that I have to go into town to find a good selection of the food range at my local Sainsbury's only has a small collection.
