I started using sma gold baby milk straight from birth. I intended to breast feed but could not as my son needed intensive care when he was born and I was hospitalise too. i could not see him for 3 days so my milk did not come in I was given tablets to help but in the first few days me and my partner choose sma gold mainly due to the fact that we were told our hospital has always used sma formula milk for about 60 years. so I thought it was best.
We used the readymade kind when he was in an incubator through a tube and he was great with it no constipation at all which I was told formula milk does. Later we started using the readymade but in their glass bottles which he hated he would not take the teat that comes with the bottles he just turned away and started to cry.
so we whent out and got the sma gold powder and some proper baby bottles and he was great eats really well no constipation, no colic, just a really happy baby. the baby milk does get confusing when you change from readymade to powder, as baby needs different amounts. so on readymade he will need more mls than the powder and water, each tin and carton has a guide on how much powder to water to mix which is really usefull as. It is a really good milk the only draw back is the price as its about £10 a tin but well worth it to have a happy settled baby.
