Nuby Icybite Keys
by womble1985 I first came across these Nuby teethers when a fellow Mummy friend had them for her son. My son picked them up and didn't let go of them for the next hour. So the next time I went shopping I bought them for my son. They were very popular with him since then. They consist of a rubbery feeling ring with 3 key shaped teethers ... hanging from it. They all have different colour tops and teether parts so they look bright and colourful. Inside each key there is a fascinating gel substance. When you squeeze them you can see the gel crack and reform. Each key also has different bumpy surfaces providing extra textures for your baby to feel with their mouth and hands. The ring is easy for baby to hold and my son seemed to enjoy chomping on this just as much as he did the actual teethers. It feels very good quality, it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy at all. It is well made and a good size. The special gel inside is created to keep the teether cooler for longer once chilled. I often put the teether in the fridge to make it really nice and cold when my son was teething alot. The gel definitely seemed to stay cooler than the water filled teethers I have also used. I don't think it is designed to be put in the freezer and we found that the fridge did just fine. I have also read reviews before purchase that some people were disappointed that it can not be steralised. I have never sterlised any teethers/bowls/plates spoons etc etc. Unless you steralise teethers every 2 minutes they won't stay sterile! I paid about £4 for this teether and it was used alot by my son and yet it shows barely any signs of wear. It is very good quality and a great design. The special gel inside makes it quite unique and it looks great. Read the complete review |

Nuby Teether Tugz Toy
by bluebell190 I bought my son two of these for £6 from the baby show in Manchester last year, but I have seen them since being sold in Tesco in the baby section. I bought the butterfly and the rabbit, but you can also get an elephant. My son loves these teddies so much, especially when he was around 4-5 months and just starting to take an interest in ... toys, it was so cute to watch! The butterfly is his favourite, and he loves chewing it's antlers on the top of it's head. He bites on them, and pulls it out his mouth with his teeth gripping on so hard, and he does this for ages! It really must help his teeth. These toys are designed for teething babies, and have lots of different textures to chew and bite on, or for your baby just to explore. The butterflies wings are long and floppy, and if you pull one side, it pulls through the actual stomach part of the body making it longer, and the other side shorter. You can actually pull it completely out of the body, as I did once, to put this in the washing machine after my son had been sick all over it's head! The wings have a hard rubber part, which I didn't fancy putting through the washing machine. They went back in, but it was a struggle, I am not sure if you are really suppose to pull them out! The rabbit's ears, are the same as the butterflies wings, you pull on one ear and it pulls through the head making one ear longer than the other. The ears also have a hard rubber bit at the end for your baby to chew. If you shake these toys they also rattle and make noise, but it isn't very loud. These toys are so bright and colourful, they catch my son's eye instantly, and they are so soft and cuddly. My son loves to bite on the teddy material, and just bang them on the floor playing with them. He will play for hours with them, they keep him well entertained! These are so cheap for what they are, they cost me £3 each, which was an absolute bargain, as my son has played with them nearly everyday since he was around 4 months old. I would definitely recommend buying one of these Teether Tugz toys, they are bright, colourful, attract your babies attention, and brilliant for them to bite and teeth on. Two of the best teddy's I have bought him! Read the complete review |

Nuby Icybite Keys
by jillycat These teething keys were something I bought for my son when teething pains started several months ago. There are 3 different coloured keys that are filled with a gel like substance. This is non-toxic called "purl ICE" which I assume to be a trade name. The keys are all on a blue and white ring that allows them to be ... jangled if you are your baby wants too. There is also a small oval section with the Trade name of Nuby on it. Though the three keys are different colours they all have the same shape and indentations on the gel section. This doesn't appear to cause any frustration for my son as he bites down on them and this allows him to be used to the shape and how to angle them best into his mouth to relieve his discomfort. The tops sections of the keys are all slightly different shapes with some different textures. Whilst this is a nice idea in practice my son actually finds these sections hard to manipulate these into his mouth to bite down on. So for us these textures at 10 months are largely redundant. The ring of the teething set is hard plastic and my son actually at times seems to prefer to chew and bite down on the ring itself and the oval section with the Nuby name on it. I think at times he prefers the hardness of these sections to the soft give of the keys themselves. The keys are a little large and initially when he was younger he found them hard to manipulate but from around 8 months he was more than able to get them into the position he wanted in his mouth. Keeping these clean at times is a bit tricky due to the rough surfaces of the keys. They need a good wipe if they get anything on them as the surfaces can trap bits of dirt or food stuffs very easily. As they can't go into the dishwasher they have to be cleaned by hand which is a bit irritating. My son overall seems to like these keys to chew on when he is teething however he prefers at times the ring itself to the keys. Whilst they don't take away the discomfort of him teething they do seem to help ease some of the pain. At £3.75 from Boots they are a good buy. Read the complete review |
