Anbesol liquid was recommended to me by the nurse at my GP's surgery (I was actually there so my daughter could have her vaccinations, but happened to mention that she was waking up a lot in the night and I suspected this was down to teething pain). Like most parents, I'd tried pretty much everything: teething rings, Bonjela, giving her a muslin (or my finger!) to chomp on - all of these things seemed to work very briefly but then we were back to square one again. The nurse told me that Anbesol liquid works as a mild local anaesthetic, i.e. it actually numbs the gums for a time, as well as being antiseptic, and that it's also useful for adults with ... Having really suffered with chronic tooth ache over the past few days, I needed to get some relief and I found this in the form of anbesol liquid. I went to my pharmacy and was given this little bottle of liquid, and to be perfectly honest I did not even think it would work, but I was willing to try anything as I could not get a dental appointment for over a week. This comes in a small 6.5 ml glass bottle and was boxed, this liquid is a lemon colour and smells like you have just walked into a hospital. This neat little liquid gives amazing results and numbed my aching tooth instantly, this also works well for mouth ulcers and other dental ... Read the complete review

Liquid Anbesol is another product on the market to ease the pain in teething babies, my friend recommended this product as she has been using it on her daughter ever since she started teething. You have to ask the chemist for it as it isnt stocked on the shelves, it is behind the counter and a small 6.5ml bottle cost me £2.99. The box is white and it has the word Anbesol on the front in big blue letters. It has a green box underneath this which contains white writing that states 'rapid relief from mouth ulcers, teething pains and denture irritation. So this liquid is not only for teething in babies but also cures a bigger variety of mouth ... Read the complete review

I am going to let you into a secret, I have not been to the dentist for 12 years. This is awful I know but I am so frightened of them hurting me, as I child I always loved to visit the dentist so I could get the stickers with a big smile on or the legendary lolly pops they gave out. My mother was always petrified of the dentist and had to get someone else to take me, I think this is where I got the complex and I have now inherited my mother's fear. Recently I have really been suffering with chronic toothache, due to a tooth a chipped at the back of my mouth a few years ago, I don't have a dentist and it is almost impossible to find a NHS dentist ... The "teethers and soothers" category may be slightly misleading for the opinion you are about to read. Actually, that's a vast understatement, as I have no intention of mentioning babies, teething or the like whatsoever. So what am I going to talk about then? Mouth ulcers. Anybody that suffers from them will be in great distress simply reading the words. People suffer from mouth ulcers for a number of reasons - diet, stress, oral habits (like chewing your tongue), poor dental hygiene, 'being run down' and telling too many lies are just a few of the causes that friends and colleagues have cited (guess which one Grandma ...
