Advantages: numbs the painful area for some time

Disadvantages: can sting quite a bit on an open wound.

I had used this in the past when I had mouth ulcers and found it to be brilliant. It did sting quite a bit but then it numbed the painful area so much I didn't mind that initial shock. The pain was mainly due to the open wound though.

I tried this on a few occasions with my son who suffered quite a bit with his teeth and found that it worked very quickly. My favourate remedy still is Nelson's Teetha but as a back up or an alternative you can't beat Anbesol. It is fairly cheap too and can be bought at many of the chemists and Tesco pharmacy's.

If you are stuck I suggest you try it. It really does work.
