Aston & Parsons
Advantages: SIMPLE AND NATURAL HERBAL INGREDIENTS.
Disadvantages: WILL NEED SOMETHING ELSE TO REDUCE TEMPERATURE.
When my children were babies, I had awful problems when they were teething. The sleepless nights, the constant crying and red and hot cheeks were a sure sign that they were indeed suffering from a great deal of pain with the their teeth coming through.
I am not a great fan of using lots of medicine on youngsters. Unless of course it is vital. I would personally prefer to use more alternative remedies and methods.
Ashton and Parsons offered me a helping hand at this particularly stressful time. They have a product called Infant powders which is basically made up of herbal powders that are very effective in easing the discomfort associated with teething.
Each portion of powder is wrapped individually in folded grease proof paper. It is so easy to administer this to your child as you just tip the paper up into a cone shape and drop into the baby's mouth. I used to find that a quick drop of cool boiled water would make the powder be swallowed with no fuss at all.
The dosage of these powders are written clearly on the reverse side of the box. There is also a good leaflet regarding this product and any possible side effects you should look for. Also listed are the ingredients which will help you to decide if this is a product you will be happy to use. There are no harsh chemicals in this powder, just gentle herbal ingredients which are known to hold pain relieving powers. I also noted when giving these powders to my babies , that it seemed to calm them down some what and settle them into a more restful sleep.
These Ashton and Parson powders are widely available from most chemists. They are not particularly expensive. They are certainly more cost effective than a bottle of medicine. Also worth remembering that these powders contain no artificial sweetners. There are around 10 sachets in each packet.
I found in my experience, that these Ashton and Parsons worked very well in helping to control my baby's pain associated with teething. However, it did nothing to reduce a temperature which meant that sometimes I would have to combine this powder with another medicine to lower their temperature. Looking back, it may have been more convenient and beneficial to just use one variety of medication that would have tackled all the symptoms.
I like Ashton and Parsons. I feel they offer a gentle and effective alternative. They seem to exude the attitude that they are very caring and in turn always made me feel that this is a very high quality product.
I also love the packaging of the Ashton and Parsons infant powders. It is very simplistic and I feel it reflects the simple and natural ingredients that this brand use. I love the way that this packaging does not rely on sharp graphics and strong coloured packaging in order to sell their product. Relying on their age old reputation to sell their produce.
