PROBLEM :
You know the scenaro , you run your baby's bath . You dip your elbow in , it feels ok . You go and get your partner to see if they think the water is the right temperature .Then you try the water again . Just to be on the safe side you add loads more cold water "Just to be on the safe side " .

SOLUTION :
Our daughter used to cry at every bath time when see was newborn . The heath visitor said that giving babies a warm bath is soothing for them ! Oh dear we thought she doesn't like the bath .

Oneday in Boots I saw a whale bath themometer , it only cost 3.25 so I bought it . It detects the temerature and tells you by 3 easy icons wether the water is the correct temperature for your baby . "dash" indicates too cold , "tick" indicates it's just right and a "cross" indicates it's too hot .

It floats and the whale's mouth is a water inlet which lets the bath water flow over the temperature sensors .The green tick appears if the water temperature is ok . Ocassionly the icons go other colours indicating the temerpature is not suitable for your baby . We tried it in the bath with our baby , and she no longer cried . We must have had the water too cold for her . Now's she's bigger she loves playing with the whale in the bath with her rubber duck .

I'd definately recommened this bath thermometer , it does it's job and can be used as a toy .
