This item in the title is pretty self explanatory; it is a thermometer that takes readings in the ear!

I chose to buy this one when I had children because I have used Braun before and found it pretty good and reliable. Plus this thermometer had good reviews. I bought it on Amazon for £28.50.

It really could not be easier to use. Click on the head, turn it on, click the reading button, wait for beep, read temperature, turn off, dispose of head- simple! The reading is taken within seconds and comes up in big, bold digital display so is very easy to read.

The thermometer comes complete with an instruction guide including temperature ranges depending on age, and also a load of disposable heads. These heads are also really cheap to buy from most chemists or of course the good old internet. It also comes with pre- installed batteries. I have not once had to change the batteries as of yet.

The thermometer is light to carry, easy to clean with a baby wipe, and has a protective case in which the thermometer easily slots into.
