Bright starts starry teether.
When both of my kids were young they each suffered with their teeth coming through, not too badly thankgoodness but enough to definitely benefit from the advantages of a teether. We received this one as part of a bundle of presents from a friend who already had kids and their swore by it so I was willing to trust their judgement as they obviously knew when they were talking about. My son who has just turned two is just cutting his big back teeth at the back of his mouth so is in a little bit of discomfort so is definitely getting the most out of this teether at the moment after having not used it for a couple of months. We have a number of Bright Starts toys and I like the quality and robustness of them as well as the fact that they are always fun and colourful and good educationally as well.
What I love about this teether is the look. It's in a loop and I think this looks a lot more fun and appealing than a normal straight teether, I'm not exactly sure why, it just looks more interesting and cool in a way. It's something I don't mind my kids being seen with when we're out or at a friends house and so we always seemed to use this one more than the other we had. The ring is flexible so I think, especially when my kids were very young, it was something fun for them to hang onto and be able to pull in different directions and really play with it in a fun way so as well as being a teether its also a fun toy as well. I found it was really easy for young babies to grab hold of and keep hold of as I would often see my kids putting it over them arm like a bracelet or something and the ring feature of it makes it easier to hold on to in my opinion than just a straight teether.
The ring has lots of different flexible beads on it which provide a child something to chew. This not only stimulate's their senses but it also helps to sooth teething gums too. The different sides and angles really work well to push down on gums and offer a little light relief. For example this teether has stars and spirals on it as well as round bead shaped pieces so all the different levels and raised parts can be really comforting..
At the moment my boy is really chewing on the back of this as he is able to get a lot of the ring in his mouth and give it a good chew to massage his teeth. I know when he was younger he seemed to really like the stars as they had nice points on them that he could chew and have fun with.
The teether is lovely and colourful with lots of bright prime colours on it such as vivid reds, blues, purples and greens to make it stand out and look fun as well as pain relieving too.
The teether has held up well and although it has quite a few teeth marks in it or little scrapes it still looks almost as good as new.
A teether I definitely recommend.
My daughter is nearly 6 months now and think my lack of reviews and rates shows how busy I've been. She likes to grab everything at the moment and most heads straight for her mouth. I brought this Bright starts starry teether from Asda costing just under £3. I had never heard of the make before but have now seen they do lots of different baby toddler items...
My daughter seemed drawn to it I think because of the bright colors of it. It is suitable for 3 months +. It is sold on a cardboard back and plastic covering on top, I prefer products to be displayed like this so you can see exact colour you are getting etc. Before use this needed a wiping with a clean cloth as stated this on the packaging but not to be immersed into water.
This teether consists of a blue plastic ring which holds various shapes one of which are the stars. The main star can't be moved but the other shapes can be moved around slightly. They are all made from a solid plastic which is great for babies to bite on or gum away at if teeth not quite there.
The colors on it are light green, red, light blue and purple. My daughter seems to like studying it before giving a chomp on it lol. I'm happy that it is safe for her to play with as no shape corners and nothing that can fall apart on it. I like to give anything a good tug or fiddle with before letting her have anything just in case of any mishaps.
Would recommend this teether compared with a basic one colored shape one. This could help with them learning hand co ordination too. The only down side is that if they drop it and it goes kind of over their arm my daughter cant seem to get it back as keeps putting her hand up for it but moves down her arm, She'll work it out soon I'm sure.
Fun colors and textures stimulate baby while soothing tender gums.
