Cleaning my little girl;s teeth had recently become a bit of nightmare for both her and me. She absolutely loathed it, and since she suffers so much with sore gums and teeth taking age to break through, I think it only makes it worse when I try to get at the few teeth she has. The last toothbrush I had with a bigger brush was the worse and I was determined to find something that would help. I looked at silicone finger toothbrushes and was initially going to buy one of these when I spotted this BrushBaby chewable toothbrush on amazon and thought this would be a better thing to try, as not only is it a toothbrush but it can also be used as a teether.
This chewable toothbrush can be bought on amazon in either blue or clear, and costs just under £5 which may seem a lot more than a normal toothbrush, but anyone who has a toddler or baby who hates teethcleaning, would surely rather pay to help with the daily issue.
When this toothbrush arrived my daughter couldn't wait to get her hands on it, when I took it out of the packaging, she immediately put it in her mouth and started chewing on it, so it must have given her some relief on the gums. This toothbrush can be put in the fridge to cool it so that is can give additional relief for sore gums. This certainly seems to be the case with my daughter and on the days that her gums are bothering her, she does like to chew on this toothbrush cold.
I like the fact that this product is BPA free as well, so I feel happy letting my daughter suck and chew on it. The toothbrush can be used with or without toothpaste, but I always use toothpaste in the morning and at bedtime on the top and bottom of this toothbrush so as my daughter chews on it, it cleans the top and bottom. The toothbrush has been designed to fit the gums perfectly and when I put this in my daughter's mouth at teeth cleaning time she immediately chomps onto it and I can massage and brush the teeth, feeling that they are all getting properly cleaned and there isn't one bit of screaming - in fact I think she quite likes it now, as she isn't fighting to get the brush out of her mouth.
All in all, this chewable toothbrush has worked a treat at stopping my daughter getting upset when I go to clean her teeth in the morning and in the evening and I am glad that I paid the money for it, as it has been totally worth it . THe fact that it can also be used as a teether is ad added bonus, particularly when my daughter doesn't really play with any of her baby teethers anymore.
