Advantages: nice taste and sugar free

Disadvantages: very easy to overdose and has a laxative effect

My son is teething at the moment and is very miserable so i thought i would try some teething gel.I went in the chemist to buy some bonjela and they had unfortunately run out, so the pharmacy assistant suggested calpol teething gel.
What a find!!, it has a herbal flavour that is not as strong as bonjela so a much more pleasant taste for tiny mouths that are not used to strong flavours yet,and will help for ulcers and denture pain in adults as well, although it can be used in babies from 3 months.it works very quickly numbing the area that is sore, and provides fast relief from the pain and grizzling that comes with teething.
At approx £2.09 for a 10ml tube, the price is comparable to bonjela and dentinox teething gels, and as it is made by Mcneil, the same makers as calpol, i know that this product has been designed specifically with babies in mind.

Summary: a great alternative to bonjela
