Calgel Teething Gel (Calgel)
Member Name: AliB
Advantages: Soothes pain almost instantly Disadvantages: None
I'm not really sure why I have a tube of this, I don't have any children just yet - I think my Mum gave it to me in a little first aid kit she made up when I moved house! But I'm certainly glad I have it, it's fantastic stuff. My boyfriend seems to suffer from mouth ulcers quite often and (like a crying baby) one application of Calgel and he shuts up. Last night the roof of my mouth was quite sore, from something I'd eaten I think, so I used some of it and was amazed. It seems to be quite difficult to apply, it slides rather than rubs in so you think it's not going to work, but within seconds the area felt numbed. I've avoided any medications during my pregnancy but as this is suitable for babies I wasn't worried about using it. It's sugar free and can be used up to six times a day. After having used it myself I now know that when my baby starts teething Calgel will sooth his/her pain. And it can be used alongside Calpol if it gets really bad! Summary: |
