... shelves, it's not a 'behind the counter' medicine. The kind lady said it was just like a syrupy type medicine which would help soothe her throat and perhaps take away some of the symptoms as it soothes. They said to try it for a few days and if the cough didn't get any better then they could offer me something a bit stronger. UPDATE ****I'd just like to make it clear that this review is for Calcough 'TICKLY' not Calcough 'CHESTY'. The 'Tickly' version can be given to children aged 3 months and above, but the 'Chesty' version cannot be given to children under the age of 6 years, due to changes in guidelines. Jo1976 has mentioned this in the comments section so I thought I would add this in the review just so no-one gets confused**** When my youngest was about 5 months old my toddler picked up a nasty cough from somewhere, and then obviously passed it onto the baby.
