Calpol Infant Suspension! for ages 2months and above

I have used this medicine since my baby was around 3 months, I first started using this product when he had his injections at the doctors and I was advised to give him some calpol. The medicine is strawberry in flavour and is tasty and easy to swallow. This medicine does not taste like average medicine and will be easy to get your child to take.

The calpol medicine itself comes within a glass bottle with a safety cap on the top, this needs to be squeezed in order to open it, this prevents the little ones getting their hands on it.

I usually buy this product from ASDA and it costs around 2 pounds 50! The bottle holds 100ml.

How do you use it?

Calpol is really easy to use, within the packet you are given a pastic spoon, this has both measures for 5ml and 2.5ml. I normally use a oral suspension unit which squeezes the medicine into the mouth, saves dribbling of the medicine and makes you certain you have gave the right amount.

If your child is aged between 2 and 3 months and weighs around 4kg you are to give 1 single 2.5ml dose every 4-6 hours. If your child is 3-12 month you are to give one 2.5ml - 5ml measure depending on how ill your child is. And from 1-6 years they can have 1 - 2 5ml spoon fulls. The bottle states that you must leave 4 hours between each intake.
