When I had my daughter I was always worrying that she was too hot/too cold so Id have a stock of medical supplies at hand just incase I needed them and Calpol was amongst them. I chose Calpol as its been around a long time and is well established in the market which is a sign it does a good job as people continue to buy it so I put it to the test. Theres a range of Calpol products from sachets to calpol for babies to older children so it can suit families with children of different age ranges as it saves buying afew different bottles for the age groups. I got the 2+months 200ml strawberry flavour one for £3.70 which I feel was good for the money as it lasts a long time. It is available in pharmacys and superstores so stocking up if it runs out is easy. It states that its to be used to relieve pain and fever. The bottle has a push down and turn lid so makes it child proof which is good for children that get a taste for it and think its a liquid form sweet of some sort. On the back it has a table stating the Age against the dose to give which makes it clear and easy to understand. It says sugar free but it is a sticky medicine so the bottle needs to be wiped after used to ensure not to make a mess everywhere. Some medicines can taste foul and it makes administering medicine a nightmare and when your childs unwell they will be in a foul mood anyway so it can escalate the situation trying to get them to have something they really dont like. I will be trying out the sachets as I think these would be great if going away as you can put afew in the suitcase and be prepared where as with the bottle its larger and not disposable so could get your suitcase very sticky.
The conclusion to this is that my daughter loved it which means when shes grumpy and working against me shes still willing to take her medicine which gets her back to being her happy little self in no time at all as its fast acting so I am a loyal calpol buyer and would recommend this to any of my friends as it takes affect quickly, is worth every penny as it lasts a long time and the flavour is a hit for my daughter.
