... although the good thing about it, is that is machine washable, which is essential with most of my son's toys as his dribbles all over them, or he is sick or gets food or drink all over them! It has lasted well through several washes in the washing machine, but doesn't look as new. This has a plastic handle for your baby to grip this elephant, my son likes to chew on this part sometimes, but doesn't really use it as a handle, although it is an easy to grip handle for little hands. He chews on the actual soft material ...more

Chicco Elephant Teething Blanket: Nice colours and cute, but not very interesting for my baby (520 words)

I bought my son this elephant teether months ago, he was around 4 months old and was just starting to hold things. I got it on offer for £5.50, and it is currently selling in Asda, where I bought it, at £6.59. This toy is well overpriced for what it is, and I would pay no more than £3.50 if I was to buy it again. Tesco do lots of teething toys for this price, and I think this is more of a reasonable price for this toy. I think you are paying more just because it is by Chicco. This is a blue elephant teething toy. It is bigger than it looks online, it isn't a small elephant, I would say it is around 20cm big. My local Home Bargains is amazing for baby items with the prices of the toys being the cheapest around. When I was in the latter stages of pregnancy I spotted the teething blankets which are suitable from birth. The blanket was £3.49 and consists of a soft, flat shaped elephant with a small teething ring to the corner, the green ear also rustles to keep baby entertained with the noise. As a first time parent I had no idea what to expect and what to buy but I had heard of Chicco items and thought this would be a wise investment as the packaging stated that it doubled up as a comforter for the baby. The elephant itself is very soft and ...  Read the complete review

My son had this when he was younger and it was one of his favourite toys. It is a elephant blanket which is slightly padded. It has 4 sticky out legs, 2 large floppy ears and a small trunk. The dimensions are 23 x 20 x 5 so it is a nice size for baby to hold and carry round with them. It is very lightweight. There is a orange teething ring at the top of the elephant which is made out of a soft plastic. This is ideal for the baby to chew on when they are teething. The ring aslo has small bumps on it which will massage the babies gums as they bite down. The elephant is a blue colour with a green circle on its tummy with the word Chicco ...  Read the complete review
